New additions to the Bastion!
Greetings Bastionites!
Jeni here to announce two little additions to our little place, courtesy of Colin and Paar (aka big fucking dragon) and Alucard respectively.
First off there will be some non-native plants popping up in the farm that Colin has paid for. The description goes as such:
"The Navit plant is a large climbing vine plant, which bears plum-sized pomaceous fruit. The fruit is incredibly juicy and sweet, but the Navit fruit's real claim to fame are its seeds. Containing three times as much caffeine as coffee beans, the seeds of Navit fruit are a primary export of the Psilon empire. Navit vine leaves can also be made into a bitter tea, which when brewed with powdered Navit seed is a favorite source of caffeine for scientists throughtout the galaxy. The plants can grow to over twenty-five feet in height, and the heavy fruit is relatively easy to harvest. Several of these plants will appear at the farm, and may also grow in warmer portions of the Skyway if seeds are spread."
Secondly are MAMMOTHS. I'm not kidding, Paarthurnax and Alucard combined their shards to bring actual Skyrim mammoths to the Bastion.
Their description goes as follows:
"Large creatures that can be devoured and herded. Giants did so in Skyrim, but, for the most part unless someone else decides to intervene, Paarthurnax will do the minimum of watching over them and making sure they don't fall off the edge. At most, they will be in herds of four and fairly docile so long as they are not attacked. They'll eat whatever vegetation they can find on the Open Plains, where they'll generally be kept. Anyone who wants to try can milk them, and the milk can be used to make cheese. In game, it's possible to get meat and tusks from them, but in the Bastion the rest of their body (hide, other bones, etc) can also be presumably used."
So feel free to make any sort of IC reference to either of this after Day 125!
Also on the subject of shards, we're working to get together a page where muns can record their character shard numbers, both of organization and so others can go to muns who they think might have enough to help them out with something that you wish to purchase. A lot of characters have a great deal of shards now, so we're hoping with this there will be more encouragement to spend them and improve the Bastion!
Keep on the look out for that post in the near future, and enjoy your new fruit and mammoths.
